Welcome to the largest display of trucks, chrome and horsepower in the world, the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, KY on March 22-24, 2007!

Back for its 36th year in the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center, the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) will encompass an incredible 1,000,000 square feet of exhibit space and more than 1,000 exhibiting companies. Equipment and services of every conceivable description, representing the most innovative technology and advanced developments in the industry will be on display.

An important feature of this year’s MATS will be the return of the area reserved for the emergency freight industry – the Expediter Experience!

With over 10,000 square feet of exhibit area in the West Wing of the Kentucky Expo Center, the Expediter Experience will showcase everything expedited, including carriers, truck dealers and vendors along with three days of seminars presented by the Expediter Workshop.

Public Demand

The 2007 Expediter Experience will also feature something just a little out of the ordinary – the debut of the Speedco Supertruck Driveaway Sweepstakes featuring the Speedco Custom Expediter Truck by the Chrome Shop Mafia of Country Music Television’s “Trick My Truck” series!

“Ever since the “Trick My Truck” series debuted last year, truckers and expediters have been talking about the show,” says Lawrence McCord, General Manager of Expediters Online.com. “The demand for “Trick My Truck” was so overwhelming that we had to bring the Chrome Shop Mafia to the Expedite Expo this past July. The people loved meeting the crazy customizers behind those beautiful one of a kind trucks, but they wanted more. They demanded a unique kind of “Trick My Truck.” Well, for expediters everywhere, here it is – the Speedco Supertruck Expediter!”

That’s right, Speedco, the heavy-duty truck quick lube service, in association with Indiana Truck Sales, Alumi-Bunk Corporation and Expediters Online.com has retained the services of the Chrome Shop Mafia of 4-State Trucks – the stars of “Trick My Truck” – to build the wildest expedited truck ever!

The truck chosen for this custom build is a top-of-the-line Class 8 Mack “Vision” tractor that has been stretched into a straight truck with a 317” wheelbase powered by a 460HP Mack E-7 engine mated to a Mack 10-speed transmission.

The Truck’s Journey

When it came time to select the platform upon which the Chrome Shop lads would work their magic, it was decided that this vehicle should be a unique, one-of-a-kind truck that would stand apart from all other expediter units. What better choice of a manufacturer than one with an over 100-year old reputation of building tough, high-quality Class 8 vocational and on-highway trucks – Mack Trucks!

From its starting point at Indiana Truck Sales in Indianapolis, the truck will travel to Woodhaven, Michigan for its cargo box installation at Alumi-Bunk Corporation. From there, the Mack will be delivered to 4 State Trucks in Joplin, Missouri where the Chrome Shop Mafia crazies will have their way with it!

The finished work of art will make its world debut in the Expediter Experience section of the Mid-America Trucking Show on March 22-24, 2007. Following the truck show, the Supertruck will take to the road for a tour of Speedco and Indiana Truck Sales locations across the country. Also special appearances at selected Speedco locations will be members of the Chrome Shop Mafia!

At the conclusion of its tour, the Supertruck will be on exhibit at the Expedite Expo in Wilmington, Ohio on July 27-28 2007. On the final day of the Expo, the Supertruck will be awarded to the winner of a special Speedco/Expo drawing and then be taken home by a very happy driver!

About the Expediter Experience

Within the 10,000 square feet of the Expediter Experience exhibit area, prospective expediters can find the answers to their questions about the exciting, fast-paced expedited freight industry.

Expedited Carriers

Not only can attendees visit with recruiters from the industry’s leading carriers, but they can do so at their own pace. Many prospective expediters will harvest the promotional material from the carriers’ exhibits on the first day of their Mid-America visit and then re-visit those companies for more in-depth discussions with the representatives.

Expedited Truck Dealers

The Mid-America Trucking Show has historically been the setting for truck and equipment manufacturers to unveil their newest offerings to the buying public. The Expediter Experience will follow in that tradition with expedited truck dealer exhibitors unveiling their latest products. Vendors, suppliers and support companies will be exhibiting their products and services as well.

Visitors will be able to see, feel and compare the most innovative expedited trucks on the market as well as discuss equipment needs, spec’ing and financing with expedited truck professionals. From a Straight Truck to a Sprinter Van – it’s at the Expediter Experience.

Workshops

The Expediter Experience will present the very popular, multi-media Expediter Workshop on all three days of the trucking show.

These free events will be held in the Expediters Online.com exhibit area and are a premier source of information about the expedited trucking opportunity presented by industry experts. Discover the opportunities that exist within the expedited freight industry for ambitious owner-operators and drivers.

Not only do the Workshops offer the prospective expedited freight owner-operator insight into the business, but they also provide the veteran expediter with new business techniques and strategies as well. In fact, the Expediter Experience has become a central location for MATS visitors to get together before beginning their tour of the exhibits and as a meeting place to renew old friendships.
